Steve Bennett will become Chief Executive of Public Health Collaboration on 6 November 2026, taking over from Sam Feltham.

Public Health Collaboration is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Bennett as our new Chief Executive. Steve will take up the role on 6 November 2026, taking over from Sam Feltham.

Steve will move from his role as a patron of PHC to become Chief Executive. He has also supported the charity as a benefactor and brings a personal commitment to improving metabolic health. He founded Health Results and the Bennett Foundation, and is the author of Primal Cure and Fat & Furious. His own experience of transforming his health after more than 25 years living with obesity gives him a personal understanding of the challenges many people face.

Steve's appointment comes as PHC marks its tenth anniversary. Our purpose remains the same: to help build a society where everyone enjoys good metabolic health. Through education, practical support and collaboration with healthcare professionals and communities, we want more people to have the knowledge and support they need to make sustainable changes to their health.

Steve has exciting new plans for the charity, and we will be announcing them over the coming few weeks. The first is a rebrand: Public Health Collaboration will become Preventive Health Collaboration.

We will still be PHC. Our new name reflects our commitment to preventing and reversing chronic disease through better metabolic health, and to helping more people access the knowledge and practical support they need to make lasting changes.

Our new identity: Preventive Health Collaboration, still PHC.

Following the announcement in July that Sam would be stepping down, we want to renew our heartfelt thanks for his ten years of leadership, energy and dedication. Since founding PHC, Sam has helped bring people together around a shared belief that better metabolic health should be within everyone's reach. We are grateful for the commitment he has given to the charity and the community it serves.

As Steve prepares to take up his new role, we look forward to building on that work alongside our staff, volunteers, healthcare colleagues, members and supporters.

Please join us in welcoming Steve as our new Chief Executive and thanking Sam for his contribution to PHC.
