Public Health Collaboration has announced that its Director, Sam Feltham, will be stepping down from his role after ten years of leading the charity.
Since founding PHC, Sam has played a central role in shaping its purpose, developing its work and establishing the organisation as a respected voice in public health. Under his leadership, the charity has grown beyond its original vision, creating important programmes, supporting communities and helping more people make informed choices about their health and wellbeing.
Sam’s decision to step down has not been made lightly. In his announcement video on social media, he said, "It's precisely because I care so much about PHC’s future that I believe the time is right for a new pair of eyes to lead the charity into a new era."
He also said, "I will always remain involved in PHC and look forward to seeing familiar faces at next year's conference. But for now, my immediate focus will be working with the Trustees and the team to ensure a comprehensive and orderly transition over the coming months."
The Board of Trustees, Scientific Advisory Committee and staff would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere gratitude to Sam for his vision, commitment and leadership over the past decade. His contribution has shaped the charity into the organisation it is today and created a foundation from which PHC can continue to grow.
A formal recruitment process by the Board of Trustees will start in September for Sam's replacement.
