PHC Volunteer Network

With hundreds of volunteers across the country, the Public Health Collaboration nurture a network of people to help cultivate a society where everyone enjoys good metabolic health.

Whether you’re a healthcare professional or a member of the public, you can become a volunteer for the PHC. However, if you’re just looking for someone to talk to locally about becoming healthier, then please zoom in on the map to find the contact details for your local Ambassador. Alternatively, click the arrow icon in the top left hand corner of the map to see a drop-down list.

When volunteering for the PHC you can either become an Ambassador or Associate. Ambassadors are UK-based local representatives of the PHC who liaise with GP practices to set up and run lifestyle support groups. This requires a 2 to 3 hour time commitment per week. On the other hand, being an Associate only requires 2 to 3 hours of your time per month and is open to everyone. This role is more about helping promote our activities online and being notified of other volunteer opportunities, such as running tables at events.

Finally, whether you’d like to become an Ambassador or Associate there is an interview process and before officially becoming a PHC volunteer. If you would like to apply, please complete and submit the application form.
