# Public Health Collaboration (PHC) > The Public Health Collaboration is a UK registered charity (No. 1171887 / SC052248) dedicated to helping everyone enjoy good metabolic health. PHC challenges outdated dietary guidance with rigorous evidence — championing real food, low-carbohydrate approaches for Type 2 diabetes remission, and recognition of ultra-processed food addiction. PHC was founded in 2016 by Sam Feltham. Its work spans three pillars: **advocacy & policy**, **education & resources**, and **community & events**. Flagship programmes include The Lifestyle Club (HSJ-award-winning T2D remission coaching), Liberate (ultra-processed food addiction support), Real Food Rebellion (schools), Real Food Runners, and the Elevate digital health platform (launching May 2026). Three ambitions guide the charity: - Reverse Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes through evidence-based lifestyle intervention. - Get ultra-processed food addiction officially recognised as a diagnosable condition. - Undo the childhood obesity crisis by reshaping the food environment around children. All content is free to access. PHC is funded by individual members, donations, and conference income. ## Core pages - [Home](https://phcuk.org/): mission, three pillars, impact stats, featured news, and testimonials. - [About us](https://phcuk.org/about/): vision, values, timeline from 2016–2026, core team, Board of Trustees, Scientific Advisory Committee, and patrons. - [Our work](https://phcuk.org/our-work/): all PHC programmes (TLC, Liberate, Real Food Rebellion, Real Food Runners, Volunteer Network, Star Jump Challenge, Elevate) and the UK-wide ambassador map. - [Evidence](https://phcuk.org/evidence/): 11 peer-reviewed papers and PHC-authored reports, plus 19 plain-language FAQs covering PHC, healthcare professionals, members, real food, and low-carb diets. - [Resources](https://phcuk.org/resources/): free booklets, sugar infographics, and annual reports. - [News & insights](https://phcuk.org/news/): blog, research updates, and press responses. - [Get involved](https://phcuk.org/get-involved/): membership tiers, volunteer roles (Ambassador, Associate), donation, and partnership options. - [Contact](https://phcuk.org/contact/): enquiries, membership, media, and partnerships. ## Evidence library PHC-authored summaries migrated to this site: - [Healthy Eating Guidelines & Weight Loss Advice for the UK (2016)](https://phcuk.org/evidence/healthy-eating-guidelines/): founding report challenging the Eatwell Guide. - [Ambassador & Healthcare Professionals Case Study Book (2018)](https://phcuk.org/evidence/case-study-book/) - [RCTs comparing low-carb to low-fat (2019)](https://phcuk.org/evidence/rcts-low-carb-vs-low-fat/): 67 trials reviewed — 36 significantly favoured low-carb, 0 favoured low-fat. - [RCTs comparing low-carb to low-fat with Type 2 diabetes (2019)](https://phcuk.org/evidence/rcts-type-2-diabetes/) - [Eat Fat, Cut the Carbs and Avoid Snacking (2016)](https://phcuk.org/evidence/eat-fat-cut-the-carbs/): joint report with the National Obesity Forum.
